DEDZ is located in Dongying, the key city of Yellow River Delta. In Dongying city, where the Yellow River runs into the sea, lies China¨s second largest oilfield-the Shengli Oilfield. Yellow River Delta is a special delta in the world as well as in China. It is another large river delta in the eastern coastland of China, whicn is rising and can drive the economic development of Yellow River valley following the rising of Pearl River Delta and Yangtze River Delta. Dongying city has an administrative area of 8053 square kilomrters and a population of 1,800,000. It is the crosspoint of Northeastern Economic Zone to Middle China Economic Zone and Jing-Jin-Tang Econmic Zone to Shandong Peninsula Economic Zone, and the conjunction of Yellow River Economic Cooperation Belt and the Economic Ring around Bohai bay. From here you can over-look the Korea Peninsula and Japanese Island across the sea. There is convenient communication and transportation in DEDZ, since Dingying port, Guangli port, the Dongying airport, the under-construction Huanghua-Dongying-Dajiawa railway and the Bohai-rim expressway are all in or across EDZ. I takesonly 2, 3, 4, 5 hours driving from the zone to Jinan, Qingdao, Tianjin and Beijing respectively, and only less than one hour driving to the railway station and seaport as well as the airport. Located in the center of Dongying, DEDZ enjoys superiority in location.
